Merry Christmas (Better late than never edition)
I finally put some photos from Christmas into the Gallery. Not my best, but trying to take pictures of kids running around opening gifts isn’t the easiest thing. They can be found in the Christmas 2008 album.
Jingle Bells
Elise wanted to practice singing “Jingle Bells” for her preschool performance. We’re still working on getting her to say “bells on bob tail ring” instead of her preferred version of “bell are about to ring.”
Little Dancer, Take Two
Here are a few pictures from Elise’s last ballet class this fall and a short video clip of their performance for the parents. She really loved it.
Trick or Treat
[img_assist|nid=83|title=|desc=|link=popup|align=left|width=100|height=75]We took Elise and Patrick trick-or-treating for the first time this year, just visiting the neighbors we know. It didn’t take Elise very long to catch on to the idea and realize that a lot of candy was at stake. By the time we finished the 2nd house, she was running down the sidewalk as fast as she could. When it was all said and done, she and Patrick had collected a respectable amount of loot. I think they’re going to need some help with all of it…

LEGO: The greatest toy ever made?
[img_assist|nid=81|title=|desc=|link=popup|align=left|width=100|height=75]I grew up playing with lots and lots of Lego blocks, so I was thrilled when I saw Elise and Patrick become interested in them as well. They’ve reached “Most Favored Toy” status in record time. With the popularity have come challenges, tough, most notably in the “sharing” department. But when they are playing alone with them, on the other hand, it’s actually possible to get things done around the house. 🙂
